BOARDING & RIDING SERVICES
HORSE BOARDING AND TRAINING (Opening Aug 1,2026)
BOARDING: There is plenty of pasture, space for riding and roaming, and comfortable boarding stalls. Whether you need to bring your horse here for a few days or a good while longer, you'll be happy to know it'll get plenty of attention and exceptional care. We offer pasture board as well as full board. Our facility offers day and weekend rentals as well. All boarders are required to be in a training program with us or an approved trainer.
TRAINING: We offer lessons, training and we focus on bringing up young horses and riders. We enjoy helping horses and riders find their paths in life and giving them the confidence to be successful.
SHOWS AND SCHOOLING (Calendar in the works)
We are putting a calendar together that will be posted. We believe shows should have an atmosphere of fun, professionalism and focus on community and family. The plan is to provide the community with young horse shows, schooling shows and inspections.

Big Bear has a long standing tradition of people winning bears. It is a pleasure to bring them back again!
CLINICS AND LESSONS
Available for beginner and intermediate riders, lessons are a great way to build confidence as a rider, learn more about caring for horses, and a great way to get to know your horse. Along with riding, lessons include everything from safety practices to tack and tack maintenance. Our calendar will include dates for clinicians of various disciplines. If anyone is hoeing for a clinician to be added to our calendar feel free to let us know about them.

Big Bear Farm provides a full range of riding and equestrian services. Whether you are a novice rider or have ridden horses your whole life, you'll find there is always something new to learn and do as a horse owner and rider. Established in 1982 Big Bear has had its ups and downs. Ronny and Mary Ellen Roberts built the farm into an amazing equestrian facility housing shows, hosting international teams for the 96' Olympics, raising Connemara Ponies and much more. Leigh Ellen and Dan Ertle carried on this tradition with a gap to focus on Building up Enoch Ministries Inc., a faith based counseling program that uses horses to help heal individuals, families and groups in our community mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Now its time for the 3rd generation to take the reins. John Ertle under the guidance of his parents and grandparents still living on the farm is taking lead over the show grounds. His goal is to bring back what once was, and add in more of God's involvement and connection with Enoch Ministries in the process. Please pray that Big Bear Farm grows into what ever God wants for it. This land and our family is here for the sole purpose of advancing the kingdom of God.
